On March 6, Jiangsu’s members of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) discussed the government work report made by Premier Li Qiang.
The report not only demonstrates a commitment to boosting the growth of the private economy but also includes many practical initiatives, providing a guideline for the healthy and high-quality development of private businesses, according to Liu Cong, president of the Jiangsu Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce.
Qiu Huakang, chairman of the Huai'an Municipal Committee of the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang and also vice mayor of the city, emphasized the importance of pooling resources to support high-quality development, conducting research in key fields such as agriculture and the rule of law, and enhancing the performance of duties as a CPPCC National Committee member.
Liu Yun, vice chairwoman of the Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the Chinese Peasants and Workers Democratic Party and director of the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University, said that it is necessary to continuously enhance medical services, focus the clinical research on the frontiers, and accelerate the medical technological breakthroughs. She called for promoting interdisciplinary scientific research and enhancing the application of research findings in health and elderly care sectors.
