A cargo vessel carrying 508 vehicles departed from Jiangsheng automobile terminal at Nanjing Port on May 7, bound for the Port of Lazaro Cardenas in Mexico, which marked the maiden voyage of the new ro-ro shipping route connecting Nanjing and Mexico.

As a key automotive logistics hub in East China, Jiangsheng automobile terminal features a dedicated 418-metre shoreline for ro-ro operations, capable of accommodating vessels carrying up to 5,000 vehicles. The terminal is also supported by a storage facility for up to 20,000 vehicles and is directly linked to a dedicated railway line.
