Historically, the development of snow and ice sports in Jiangsu lagged behind due to natural limitations. However, the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics and the 14th National Winter Games have significantly boosted people’s interest in these sports, both competitively and recreationally.

Jiangsu now boasts 45 ice and snow sports venues. During the Spring Festival holiday, ice rinks and ski resorts offered special promotions, drawing families to celebrate the festive season in new ways.

Notably, the Alps Resort in Taicang City, which includes an indoor ski resort and snow park, saw about 3,000 daily visitors during the Spring Festival holiday. In Xuzhou City, the Dugong Mountain Ski Resort have attracted 45,000 visitors and generated 3.6 million yuan in revenue since opening.
