On March 10, Wuxi brought the opening ceremony of its famed Yuantouzhu (Turtle Head Isle) Cherry Blossom Festival to Budapest, Hungary, amid efforts to attract international tourists. 

The event also included the signing of agreements with four European travel agencies and the appointment of four individuals as "Wuxi Cultural and Tourism Overseas Promotion Ambassadors." 

Yuantouzhu, known as one of the world’s top cherry blossom viewing sites, launched the overseas opening ceremony for first time. It aimed to boost travel cooperation between China and Europe and enhance the global celebration of the popular flowers.   

Following the event, Wuxi’s cultural and tourism delegation will head to Serbia for discussions to establish a regular cooperation network.
