The Nanjing Sign Language Museum, China's first sign language museum, opened to the public at the Nanjing School for the Deaf on October 8.
The museum was unveiled on September 21 and began accepting reservations on September 30. Visitors can make appointments for visits on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Spanning an area of 600 square meters, the museum has already collected over 4,000 exhibits, including books, photos and videos.
Founded in 1927, the Nanjing School for the Deaf is China's first public special education school. It has helped over 1,500 students with hearing impairments gain admission to universities.
