Yang Ya clinches first gold for Jiangsu at 14th National Winter Games

Yang Ya, an athlete collaboratively trained by Heilongjiang and Jiangsu provinces, claimed the women's dual moguls title at the 14th National Winter Games in Hulun Buir, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, on February 19.

This victory represents the first gold medal for the Jiangsu team at the nation's first comprehensive winter sports event after Beijing 2022. The achievement came after her silver medal in the women's moguls of freestyle skiing the previous day.

In the dual moguls competition, skiers race head-to head in knock-out rounds. Yang clinched the gold medal with a big lead.

Born in 2003, Yang was selected for the freestyle skiing national training team in 2019.
