The 365 km-long road is also known as the "Rainbow Highway" due to its red, yellow and blue lines, which were painted on the country roads during the renovation.
This overhaul has successfully connected high-speed trains, highways and passenger transport hubs and attracted lots of tourists. It has also linked rural attractions, complemented by over 400 boutique hotels, B&Bs and camp sites.
Tourism resources along Liyang No. 1 Road include a 5A-level tourist attraction, a national-level tourism resort, a provincial-level tourism resort, 17 key rural tourism villages, and 18 villages recognized for their unique countryside charm.
