Nanjing’s museum showcases 51 Chinese paintings by masters

The Imperial Examination Museum of China in Nanjing has opened an exhibition of 51 paintings collected by the China Sea-salt Museum in Yancheng City, the country’s only specialty museum dedicated to sea-salt history and civilization.

The exhibition will run until September 12, and the paintings include artworks by famous painters in Ming and Qing dynasties, such as Lin Liang, Dai Xi, Jin Dehui and Wang Su, as well as modern figures including Qian Songyan (1899-1985) and Xu Beihong (1895-1953).
