Nearly 600 atheletes from China, Australia, Hungary, Japan, Malaysia, and other countries competed in six categories. 

Oscar Dart from Australia claimed the title in men’s excellent group of Asian Cup, followed by Fan Junjie from China and Junpei Furuya from Japan.  

The top three places in women’s excellent group Asian Cup were taken by Tara Sosinski from Australia, Zsófia Kovács from Hungary, and Lin Xingyu from China. 

The National Triathlon Champion Cup Series was held along the race. Fan Junjie and Lin Xingyu claimed the titles of men’s and women’s groups. 

"The course is quite difficult but challenging at the same time, and I appreciate this kind of course a lot because it can show the individual strength of athletes." said Fan Junjie. 

"The waves were especially big today that when I looked up I couldn't see anything or anyone but the waves," said Lin Xinyu, “It’s a bit disappointing, but finally I was full of certainty after I finished.” 

The fourth session of Triathlon Asia Cup and the "The Belt and Road Initiative" Triathlon Series held in Lianyungang City since 2019, the event has become a signature of Lianyungang.
