“A Dream of Nanking,” a hand-drawn illustrated map of Nanjing measuring 2.3 meters wide and 10 meters long, debuted at the 2023 Nanjing International Consumption Festival on March 16. The map showcases scenes of Taogu New Village, Gulou Campus of Nanjing University, and Xuanwu Lake Park. The first two volumes of the map were released as brochures and distributed free to residents and visitors in November 2022 and January 2023, respectively.

Sai Bingkun, one of the creators of the giant scroll, said the plan is to make 10 such hand-drawn maps that will together form an iconic publication of Nanjing's landmarks.
