The event was organized by Jiangsu Provincial Sports Bureau, Jiangsu Sports Federation and Changshu Municipal Government.

12 teams from cities including Suzhou, Nantong, Yangzhou and Changzhou participated in the 200m and 500m races.

Teams on behalf of Changzhou Vocational Institute of Engineering, Changzhou University and Kunshan High-tech Zone won the top three spots.

Shajiabang Town, known as the hometown of dragon boat in Jiangsu, has hosted 30 races since 2004.
