The He Garden in Yangzhou City hosted a show of hanfu, traditional clothing of China's Han ethnic group, on March 27.
The show was held to celebrate the Huazhao Festival, a traditional flower festival dedicated to the flower goddess' birthday. Spring outings during the festival were popular in ancient China.
Hanfu enthusiasts in the event played Guzheng, traditional musical instrument, sang songs, performed a dance, played traditional drinking games, and enjoyed flowery cake delicacies. Such programs have attracted the strong interest of many tourists and local residents.
The festival held for the first time at the heritage site under state protection aims to inherit traditional culture and explore the new integration of hanfu culture and tourism.
