Jiangsu records coldest day since last winter

The first cold wave of the Year of the Snake struck Jiangsu on February 7, bringing the province its coldest day since last winter.

Some Jiangnan areas are expected to experience a temperature drop of more than 10 degrees Celsius by 8 pm on February 8, and the highest temperature in Jiangsu is barely above zero Celsius.

This intense cold spell is expected to weaken by February 9 and 10, with most areas returning to the normal temperatures typical for this time of year.
