Over 60 domestic media staff and international social media influencers, participants of the program "An open future-A media tour of Hainan for representatives of international media organizations and social media personalities", toured around the Wuzhishan Section of the National Park of Hainan Tropical Rainforest to learn about Hainan’s ecological development and rural tourism on Nov. 30.

Boasting the highest peak of Hainan province, Wuzhishan Mountain, situated in Wuzhishan city, has an altitude of 1,867 meters. The area, rich in plant and animal resources, has been designated as a core area of environmental protection and water and soil conservation in Hainan, playing a significant role in the conservation of biodiversity in China and the world as a whole. There are 2,146 species of wild vascular plants, including 284 species endemic to Hainan. The area also shelters 283 species of birds, 67 species of fish and more than 1,700 species of insects.

In the evening, the group had a chance to experience the traditional culture of the Li ethnicity at Maona Village, one of the most instagrammable places at the foot of the Wuzhishan Mountain. With only 33 households, the village has realized integrated development highlighting local Li Culture and tropical characteristics.
