With the opening of an exhibition featuring the culture of Kunqu Opera in China, Encounter Chinese Culture-Jiangsu Kunqu Opera Week kicked off in Paris on Sept. 14.
As an important part of Jiangsu Kunqu Opera Week, Peony Pavilion, a masterpiece of Kunqu Opera, had a big success at Theatre Libre on Sept. 14. The two-hour long performance staged by Jiangsu Kunqu Opera Troupe received warm applause from the audience.
A series of cultural events including cultural salons, seminar and interactive experiences will be held during Jiangsu Kunqu Opera Week to boost cultural exchange between China and France.
