Former serf Penpa Tsamjo's new life in Tibet

Penpa Tsamjo is seen at her home in a community in Xigaze, southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region, March 27, 2020. The 92-year-old Penpa Tsamjo is a resident of Bomuqing community in Xigaze. In old Tibet, Penpa Tsamjo's family had been serfs for generations. When she was a child, Penpa Tsamjo tended forest for serf owners and did not have enough food to eat.
