Oil painting exhibition celebrates Xu Beihong’s legacy

Co-hosted by the China Artists Association and the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, this exhibition celebrates the legacy of Xu Beihong (1895-1953), a renowned Chinese painter who once lived and worked in the coastal province.
A pioneer of oil painting in China, Xu displayed his deep patriotism and creative spirit, championing the path of realism in Chinese art.
The exhibition organizing committee began accepting submissions nationwide in July of this year and received 3,918 entries, of which 276 works were selected for display. The exhibition will remain open until January 19, 2025.
