Editor-in-chief of Australian media outlet SINOPRESS promotes voice of Chinese

Chang Hui, editor-in-chief of the Austrian English website SINOPRESS, recently visited her hometown in Jiangsu Province for the first time in three and a half years. She will also attend the 3rd Jiangsu Development Conference, scheduled to open in Nanjing on May 20.

Born in Changzhou City, Chang graduated from Nanjing University and settled in Vienna in 1995. In 2014, she established an online broadcasting program to introduce China’s development progress, promote Chinese culture, serve the Chinese community, and foster cultural exchange between China and Europe.

Additionally, she founded an association that provides cultural and educational exchange programs. The association registered the online media outlet SINOPRESS, which seeks to bridge Eastern and Western cultures and focus on opinions and current issues.

"During the past three years amidst the pandemic, we have actively organized discussions. We invited European experts in politics, law, academia, economics and culture, and conducted over a dozen online discussions on current issues," said Chang. She emphasized that SINOPRESS has gained significant influence due to its engaging conversations and views presented.

Chang said she is pleased to see that more Chinese domestic media outlets are paying attention to international communication and conveying China's voice to the world. She encouraged these media outlets to enhance their language skills, expand their reach, and innovate their content in order to play a greater role in international discourse with enhanced communication abilities.
