NBSO Nanjing sees great cooperation potential with the Netherlands
Richard, representative of the Netherlands Business Support Offices in Nanjing (NBSO Nanjing), said the city has a great business environment and unique historical charm to achieve new cooperation with the European country.
Located on F47 of Intercontinental Nanjing and funded by the Dutch central government, the office assists Dutch companies and entrepreneurs in doing business and investing, and also provides information to companies or commercial organizations that have an interest in the Netherlands.
Richard from Rotterdam, with a Chinese wife, is very familiar with the world’s second largest economy and also interested in local opera. Since his visit to China in 2007, he has worked in Beijing, Shanghai and Suzhou before settling down in Nanjing in 2018. Richard said Nanjing is a nice city with rich diversities.
Known as Gateway to Europe, Rotterdam is a major port city in Europe with shipping routes to five continents - Europe, America, Asia, Africa and Australia. Richard sees huge potential for cooperation between the Netherlands and Nanjing in shipping development. He hopes the Netherlands' advanced experiences can help Nanjing to achieve the new progress in the industry.
The Netherlands is ranked 12th in the world in terms of scientific research and hometown to over ten Nobel Prize winners. Richard said that, compared to China, the Dutch universities are more closely connected to the market and forms deep collaboration with government and business community. He hopes this development model can be introduced and promoted in Nanjing.
