Amazon Global Selling Seller Conference debuts in Jiangsu

The 2024 Amazon Global Selling Seller Conference opened in Nanjing on December 9, marking the first time the event has been held in Jiangsu Province.

Amazon announced over 30 new initiatives, including the innovative application of generative AI technology and end-to-end supply chain services, to drive the integration of "cross-border e-commerce + industrial clusters". It also included tailored local services such as seller growth support and training, aiming to further empower their high-quality global business expansion.

Data showed that the number of products sold by Chinese sellers through Amazon increased by over 20% year-on-year. Over the past two years, the number of Chinese sellers achieving sales of over $1 million on Amazon grew by nearly 55%.

To date, Amazon Global Selling has helped over 4,000 Nanjing-based enterprises expand globally. At the event, Amazon announced plans to fully upgrade its Nanjing office, enhancing service capabilities and expanding business scope. Amazon’s AI-powered selling assistant, Amelia, will soon support Chinese language and be available for testing.

Meanwhile, the Nanjing Municipal Bureau of Commerce stated that it would continue encouraging enterprises to focus on areas such as intellectual property protection, brand building, and innovative business models.
