A COSCO vessel carrying over 200 TEUs of goods, including photovoltaic products, paper, lactic acid, epoxy resin, and phenol, recently departed from Nanjing Port, heading to Salvador and Santos in Brazil. This marked the successful inauguration of Nanjing Port’s direct container route to South America.
With support from customs and maritime authorities, Nanjing Port implemented a comprehensive safety plan to streamline piloting, berthing, and loading operations, ensuring the smooth departure of the vessel.
In recent years, Nanjing Port has emerged as a crucial platform in positioning Nanjing as a regional shipping and logistics hub. It has established a network of shipping routes covering rivers in northern Jiangsu, the middle and upper reaches of the Yangtze River, the Grand Canal, and international destinations.
