Established in 1997 in Zhenjiang City, Gold East Paper (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd. has successfully transformed from a high-energy-consuming enterprise into a national-level green factory.
As APP China's largest subsidiary, the company has implemented more than 10 environmental projects. The plant's recovery rate of white water from the papermaking process is over 95 percent, equivalent to saving 7 million tonnes of water annually and resulting in an economic benefit of 8.76 million yuan per year. Its self-operated wastewater treatment plant can process 75,000 cubic meters of sewage per day, meeting the factory's entire water demand.

In 2014, the company introduced a 20 MW photovoltaic power system as 80% of its plant rooftops are now covered with solar panels. In 2024, solar power generation exceeded 50 million kWh, saving the equivalent of 15,000 tonnes of coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by around 40,000 tonnes.
Currently, Gold East Paper has two of the world's most advanced paper machine production lines, two of the most advanced coating production lines, and one of the most advanced in-machine coating production lines. Together, the plant can produce more than 2 million tonnes of coated paper per year, making it one of the largest production plants in the world.
