Jiangsu Football City League semifinals spur consumer spending

The 2025 Jiangsu Football City League (JFCL) held its semifinals on October 18 and 19, igniting strong spectator enthusiasm and a surge in related consumer spending.

In host cities Nanjing and Nantong, fans enjoyed discounted entry to scenic attractions, attended carnivals held in shopping districts, and sampled exclusive meals by presenting their match tickets.

Across the province, four JFCL-themed pop-up stores have achieved total sales exceeding one million yuan (US$140,000). In addition, more than 450 venues, offering live broadcast, shopping, dining, and interactive entertainment, have been set up in shopping malls, caommercial complexes, and nightlife destinations.
The league has also fueled growing demand for customized jerseys and creative merchandise. In response, local businesses have integrated regional culture with the league's sports IP, expanding the reach and economic impact of this popular event.
