Intellectual property administrations in the Yangtze Reiver Delta held integration-themed activities in Chuzhou City of Anhui Province on April 23.

The delta region encompasses Shanghai municipality and the provinces of Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui, and is currently pursuing a high-quality, integrated development as a national strategy.

Authorities signed an agreement to implement fast-track, collaborative protection related to the intellectual property region-wide. The delta region will cooperate in five key areas: establishing a rapid pre-examination service, providing swift rights protection services, conducting specialized information analysis and research, creating a resource-sharing mechanism, and organizing publicity, training and seminars.

These initiatives aim to foster new quality productive forces, which are primarily driven by innovation and break free from traditional economic growth modes and productivity development paths, and better advance the national strategy for the region’s integrated development.

In 2024, the region granted 1.15 million patents, accounting for 32.29% of the national total. By the end of 2024, the region had 64.53 invention patents per 10,000 people.
