Jiangsu has approved the establishment of seven new provincial-level economic development zones, located in Changzhou’s Xinbei District, Zhangjiagang in Suzhou City, Haimen Port of Nantong City, Guanyun County in Lianyungang City, Binhai Port in Yancheng City, Suqian’s Suyu District and Sihong County.

These zones are required to adhere to principles of land conservation and intensive utilization, and strictly follow territorial spatial planning in the implementation of industrial land policies, with a focus on improving land use efficiency.

They must also comply with ecological and environmental protection requirements, enhance infrastructure construction, align with high-quality industrial growth, and actively advance the modernization of emergency management systems and capabilities.
