Jiangsu Province has significantly expanded access to urban green spaces, adding 282 new locations covering over 500 hectares in its third batch, announced by the Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development on April 14.

Since 2023, regions across the province have advanced this initiative through research, renovation, infrastructure upgrades and scientific management, with the aim of transforming idle lawns and vacant plots into public green areas.

To date, the province has announced a total of 1,107 locations as open green spaces, enhancing recreational environment for residents and tourists.
