Nationwide Spring Festival celebration campaign launched in Suzhou

On January 23, the Former Residence of Tang Yin in Suzhou City served as the main venue to launch a nationwide Spring Festival celebration campaign centered around intangible cultural heritage (ICH).

The opening ceremony unveiled 31 ICH-themed travel routes across the country and other initiatives, such as projects on high-speed trains and AI designs.

A highlight of the event is the vibrant market located at the park, dedicated to the Chinese painter, calligrapher, and poet of the Ming dynasty period. The fair showcases more than 200 representative ICH items from 18 provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions, providing a unique shopping experience for residents and tourists looking for Spring Festival goods or gifts.

This campaign is set to host more than 400 events until February 12 in ancient cities across the country. These events include parades, interactive experiences, performances, and markets, all designed to underscore the relevance of intangible cultural heritage in contemporary life.
