Sunan Shuofang International Airport and Yangzhou-Taizhou International Airport have been newly approved as visa-free entry and exit ports, bringing the total in Jiangsu Province to four.
The two new ports are now opening visa-free processing zones, dedicated channels and information desks to assist foreigners with tourist attractions booking, SIM cards purchasing and mobile payment systems service.
The National Immigration Administration announced on December 17 to extend the permitted stay for eligible foreign travelers to 240 hours. Under this policy, citizens from 54 countries can enter China visa-free when transiting to a third country or region.
Travelers are now permitted to enter through any of the 60 designated ports across 24 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities and stay within these areas for up to 240 hours.
Travelers must present valid international travel documents with no less than three months of remaining validity, and a confirmed onward ticket to a third country (region) with reserved seats within 240 hours, to qualify for a visa-free stay beginning at 00:00 on the day after entry.
