China Post’s Nanjing Branch introduces autonomous vehicle for community-level deliveries
For the first time, China Post’s Nanjing Branch has incorporated an autonomous vehicle into its community-level post office operations in the Lishui Economic Development Zone.
A delivery worker expressed excitement about working with the intelligent vehicle, describing it as “super cool.” The vehicle can be accessed for uploading packages by simply scanning a QR code.Operating 12 times a day, the vehicle runs for two hours after a full charging and delivers over 600 packages daily, accounting for 90% of the post office’s daily mail volume. Its adoption has significantly enhanced delivery efficiency.
An employee of Skywell Group, based in the zone, praised the vehicle, noting that it functions as a fully self-service, 24-hour post office. “It is incredibly convenient for us night-shift employees,” the employee added.
