CIFTIS 2024 attracts over 130 companies from Jiangsu
Over 130 enterprises and institutions from Jiangsu Province, with around 500 registered participants, are attending the 2024 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS), held from September 12 to 16 in Beijing.
In the 100-square-meter Jiangsu exhibition area, key service trade companies are showcasing their signature products in various sectors, such as artificial intelligence, R&D design and cultural trade.
For example, Dornier Seawings, a joint venture between Dornier and Wuxi Communications Industry Group, is highlighting its multi-purpose amphibious aircraft, Seastar and DS-2C. Notably, the light sports aircraft DS-2C does not require aviation fuel and can use #95 automotive gasoline, making it more convenient for everyday use.
Zhou Kang, head of the Dornier Seawings booth, said the company is optimistic about the future prospects as China has more than 100 companies in the air commuting sector. New business models and technological advancements make the market potential for commercial flights promising.
In recent years, service trade has increasingly become a key driver for Jiangsu's foreign trade development. According to the provincial Department of Commerce, Jiangsu's service trade volume reached $34.77 billion in the first half of this year, marking a year-on-year increase of 15.7%, 4.5 percentage points higher than the national average.
