Intangible cultural heritage: traditional soy sauce making in Nantong

The soy sauce in Yanhe is crafted using techniques that have been passed down for over 1,000 years and with tools that are centuries old. The village boasts more 1,000 large jars used in traditional soy sauce production, a practice recognized as an intangible cultural heritage in Nantong in 2017.
