The Jiangsu Maritime Institute became home to the province’s first maritime education-themed museum on July 17 after winning approval from the Jiangsu Provincial Cultural Heritage Administration.

Located within in the Nanjing-based institute, the museum boasts a building area of 2,800 square meters and an exhibition area of 1,800 square meters. It houses 301 artifacts including objects and documents related to maritime shipping. The museum serves multiple functions, such as the display of cultural exhibits, research, talent training, and public education.
