Jiangsu recently issued 18 measures to support urban renewal, focusing on quality, green growth and improved performance in planning, construction and governance to a better living environment.

These measures include innovating the ways of land supply and use, enhancing property rights registration services, strengthening fire safety reviews and increasing financial support.

Urban renewal planning for historical areas, including cultural venues, should align with conservation requirements and local conditions. It is necessary to optimize indicators such as building height, parking space, building density and green space coverage.

Urban renewal should also address the lack of public services related to elderly care, community management, sports facilities and electric vehicle chargers.

In addition, Jiangsu will optimize support for urban regeneration through special funds, such as funding the revitalization of key areas and encouraging private investment in this endeavor.
