The first batch of premium loquat from Dongshan Town, Suzhou City was loaded onto a flight to Dubai on May 27, facilitated by the efficient services of Suzhou Customs.

The shipment contains 189 kg of Baisha loquat, a high-end variety, packaged in 540 boxes. The fruit is expected to reach customers in the Middle East within 16 hours.

"Baisha loquat is renowned for its refreshing sweetness, and the export volume has been increasing annually, with new orders from Canada and Singapore this year," said Shi Xiaodong, legal representative of Dongshan Town Export Orchard.

Du Cengrong, deputy head of the cross-border e-commerce office of Suzhou Customs in Wuzhong District, noted that the office provides a 24-hour customs declaration booking service and has streamlined the procedure to preserve freshness of the fruits.
