Nanjing to host 196 cultural and tourism activities for May Day holiday
Nanjing will host 196 cultural and tourism activities during the May Day holiday, including large-scale performances and exhibitions, according to the city’s press conference on April 28.
The capital of Jiangsu Province expects a steady increase in tourist volume during the five-day holiday starting on May 1, particularly in outbound and inbound travel. From April 30 to May 5, passenger volume through the city’s airport, railways, and expressways is expected to rise by 3.5% year-on-year, with a 4.5% increase in expressway travelers.
Furthermore, Nanjing will highlight its nighttime tourism resources during this holiday, such as street food stalls, opera shows, and sightseeing ships. Museums in the city will also offer a variety of programs.
