Jiangsu released its report on building age-friendly communities on April 26, outlining achievements made in 2023.

Jiangsu has witnessed growing demand for diversified and customized elderly-care services, with the service provider sector continuing to expand, according to the report.

Currently, the province has provided 20,000 home-based care beds for senior citizens. For those who prefer not to reside in aged-care facilities, Nanjing has pioneered a home renovation program, which facilitates support, including life and rehabilitation services, through regular home visits.
