2023 China-ROK Universities International Conference on Cooperation and Integration of Industry, Education, Research and Application was held in Wuxi of Jiangsu province, Oct. 31.Co-hosted by Jiangnan University and Yangzhou University, the conference also witnessed the inauguration of Jiangsu-ROK Universities Consortium Inaugural Meeting.

Guided by the principles of “shared benefits, joint efforts and win-win cooperation”, the Jiangsu-ROK Universities Consortium aims to build a platform for deeper regional education cooperation in areas including talent nurturing, scientific research, cultural exchange, and social services. By establishing collaborative platforms, innovating cooperation mechanisms, and enhancing resource sharing, the Consortium intends to promote mutually beneficial and coordinated development in education and technology between universities and industries of the two sides.

Chen Wei, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and President of Jiangnan University, stated that the conference and consortium have provided a platform for cooperation and exchanges of higher education between China and ROK in high-end talent, advanced technology, and strategic industries. “We are looking forward to expanding the collaborations among members, promoting better integration of the education chain, talent chain, innovation chain, and industrial chain, and further to enriching the higher education cooperation between Jiangsu and ROK. He also noted that Jiangnan University will make contribution to promoting China-ROK friendship and cooperation.”

The Consortium currently covers 24 Chinese member universities and 13 ROK member universities.
