Suzhou has 50 companies listed on sci-tech innovation board, third highest in China

Suzhou currently has 50 companies listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange's sci-tech innovation board, which is nearly half of the total number in the province and one-tenth of the total nationwide.
Suzhou ranks third in the country in terms of the number of companies listed, following Shanghai and Beijing.
On June 9, CSI Solar Co Ltd became the latest to complete its initial public offering process on the sci-tech innovation board, raising 6.9 billion yuan, the highest amount raised this year among the city's newly listed companies.
Located in Suzhou High-tech Zone, CSI Solar is primarily engaged in the research and development, production and sales of solar modules and inverters, as well as the provision of complete photovoltaic system solutions, with over 2,100 global patent licenses.
All 50 enterprises listed are high-tech companies specializing in the fields of next-generation IT, biomedicine, high-end equipment manufacturing and new materials.
As of the end of May this year, Suzhou's companies listed on the sci-tech innovation board had raised 56.2 billion yuan in total and had a total market value of 457.7 billion yuan.
Suzhou has consistently attached great importance to the role of capital market in promoting S&T innovation. It has implemented a series of policies to provide comprehensive support for high-quality and innovation-based enterprises. The city aims to have over 300 listed companies by the end of 2025 and intends to maintain its leading position among domestic cities.
