Yangtze River Delta launches virtual window for seamless inter-provincial government services
At the 5th Yangtze River Delta Integrated Development Forum in Hefei, Anhui Province on June 6, the delta region launched the virtual window feature for easier access to inter-provincial government services.
This represents a new milestone in the endeavor of allowing the public to access more government services via a single website. It helps address difficulties faced by enterprises and individuals in obtaining services through online channels. Due to reasons such as a lack of understanding of certain policies or the inability to accurately complete information and prepare required materials, many have chosen to visit government offices in person. However, due to variations in government services across Shanghai and the provinces of Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui, it’s still challenging to complete tasks efficiently at such local offices, resulting in time-consuming processes.
The virtual window service unveiled at the forum fully utilizes desktop sharing, audio or video interaction and other technologies to facilitate real-time communication across diverse areas. As a result, when people visit an office nearby for government services offered in another area, they will find it much easier to have their requests processed through this inter-provincial trust and cooperation mechanism. Additionally, local officers no longer need to spend time to familiarize themselves with detailed business rules in other places.
