Siemens Yangtze River Delta AI Lab opens in Suzhou

 

Siemens unveiled its Yangtze River Delta AI Lab in Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province on May 24, the first of its kind by the company in China, established in partnership with the Suzhou Science and Technology Town Management Committee. 

During the launch ceremony, Dr. Zhu Xiaoxun, Head of Siemens Corporate Technology China, highlighted the delta region’s unique advantages in terms of resource sharing, talent development, and a pro-innovation environment, saying it is becoming an important driver for China's high-quality economic growth. 

He also said Siemens looks forward to combining its technical expertise in AI with the city’s industrial strengths to expand the application of next-generation technology innovation. 

The newly opened lab will focus on Siemens' innovations and applications related to AI, Big Data, simulation and digital twin, and software development. The lab’s exhibition zone, under the theme of industrial metaverse, demonstrates technology applications, such as generative design, virtual commissioning services, IT/OT integration for productivity and flexibility, preventive maintenance, and carbon footprint tracking.
