The 12th Horticultural Exposition of Jiangsu Province opens in Lianyungang
The 12th Horticultural Exposition of Jiangsu Province opened in Lianyungang City on April 26.
The opening ceremony started at 9:00 a.m. and featured immersive performances under four chapters, which highlighted the fusion of the city’s historical legacy, horticulture, and modern technology.
The exposition, located in Yuntai Farm in the city’s Haizhou District, includes 20 zones. Among them, 13 zones were dedicated to Jiangsu’s 13 cities that have subordinate districts. There are also three designer zones and four special zones dedicated to saline soil greening, medicinal plants, bonsai, and hygrophytes.
The exposition provides an opportunity to exchange ideas and practices related to growing flowers, fruit and vegetables.
It opened to the public yesterday afternoon. Zhong Qinqin, a resident who lives near Yuntai Farm, said the exposition’s venue used to be saline land and has now become a big park that helps improve the living environment. Zhong also said people can enjoy gardening creations during the day and the beautiful scenery at night, so this will definitely become a great place for leisure and fun.
One of the exposition halls feature displays with regional characteristics and high-quality exhibits from the 13 cities. The exposition will also include competitions among the city-themed gardens and exhibits.
