Thailand promotes tourism in Nanjing

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) led a delegation of 56 Thai tourism operators on the ‘Amazing Thailand Roadshow to China 2023, Phuket & the Andaman+’ in Nanjing City on April 21.

More than 90 domestic cultural and tourism companies participated in the roadshow that aimed to boost confidence in Thailand as a preferred destination for Chinese travelers.

For China’s tourism operators, the promotion featured an update on quality tourism products and services in Thailand, particularly Phuket and the surrounding areas. The TAT is strengthening the “Visit Thailand Year: Amazing New Chapters” campaign launched in 2022.

Some 600,000 Chinese tourists visited Thailand from January to April this year, and the annual number of travelers is estimated to be around 5 million. Currently, there are on average 23 flights per week between Nanjing and Bangkok. Thailand will maintain close communication with various airlines to increase the number of flights and meet the travel needs of tourists.
