Meeting promotes Hailing District’s cooperation with Italian businesses
Hailing District of Taizhou City held the inaugural Sino-Italian (Hailing) Industry Cooperation and Exchange Meeting on March 22 to strengthen partnership with the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC).
During the meeting, Sun Qun, Party chief of the district, said he hopes the two sides can work together to foster a prosperous path of economic and trade cooperation. Sun also noted Hailing and Venice are both famous for being the city of water and share the similar aspirations for a quality life.
"China and Italy have extensive opportunities for cooperation in sustainable development, digital technologies, and high-end manufacturing, and Hailing will do its best to create a first-class business environment and provide the best resources for Italian entrepreneurs," said Sun.
This exchange aims to establish close cooperation between Hailing District and Italian enterprises in the Yangtze River Delta, strengthen partnership in sci-tech research and development with top Italian institutions and enterprises, and also promote Italian high-tech projects to settle in the district as it enhances its own innovation capacity and industrial upgrading.
The CICC is the only business organization recognized by both the Italian Government (Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy) and China (Ministry of Civil Affairs). The chamber aims to promote the internationalization of Italian business in China. Its members represent the Italian business community, including public-invested and multinational corporations, small and medium-sized enterprises (both manufacturing and commercial), and service companies.
