Suzhou and Paris usher in China-France Culture and Art Week

The Jinji Lake China-France Culture and Art Week opened at Suzhou Industrial Park on October 28, alongside with the launch of the Grand Canal photo exhibition in Paris.

One centerpiece of the event is a replica of the Wall of Love, a love-themed wall created by artists Fédéric Baron and Claire Kito in Montmartre, Paris in 2000. Composed of tiles of enamelled lava, the original wall features 311 phrases of "I love you" in different languages of 192 nations. The new wall in 1:1 scale at Suzhou's Ligongdi cultural and art zone is so far the only authorized replica in Asia.
The art programs, including symphony concert and cultural bazaar will also be held at the event, which will run till November 7.

The photo exhibition in Paris focuses on the beautiful landscape, culture and history of the Grand Canal. 30 photos of Suzhou section of the canal are showed at the garden where the Wall of Love is located.
