China Merchants Jinling Shipyard (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd. delivered the fourth vessel for electric vehicle manufacturer BYD at its Yizheng facility on April 22.

Named BYD Shenzhen, the vessel measures 219.9 meters in length and 37.7 meters in width, with 16 decks and a capacity of 9,200 vehicles, making it the world’s largest car carrier by loading capacity. This LNG dual-fuel carrier also incorporates cutting-edge green technologies to meet the latest environmental standards.

To date, BYD’s electric vehicles have reached more than 400 cities across 100 countries and regions. The new vessel is expected to further shorten delivery time and reduce logistics costs in its global sales and supply chain network.
