Shanghai Airport Authority, also known as AVINEX, launched its terminal in the Suzhou Industrial Park on May 19, aiming to create a flagship project of digital transformation in the Yangtze River Delta.
The first group of eight airlines announced their presence in the new terminal on the opening day, marking the start of an integrated digital supervision and service model. This model enables passengers from the delta region, a major economic hub in China, to access all domestic and some international flights from both Pudong and Hongqiao airports.

Spanning approximately 1,400 square meters, the terminal, jointly developed by the SIP and AVINEX, is the first inter-provincial terminal in China to offer diverse flight services through digital means. With the largest number of routes and flights, the facility is also he largest of its kind in the country.
Under the integrated service model, passengers can book tickets, complete check-in procedures, or have luggage checked all at the Suzhou terminal before heading to either Shanghai airport, thus improving the efficiency and quality of service for passengers.
