Snake man fails to charm way through security
Airport security staff recoiled in horror when a South African passenger
revealed what appeared to be seven snakes strapped to his body on Sunday.
Two female guards at Guangzhou's Baiyun International Airport even fled the
inspection room at the sight of the scaly skin.
The South African traveller, surnamed Babacar, explained the apparent
reptiles were merely snakeskin ropes tied to his body as a means of warding away
evil spirits.
Babacar was later required to put the ropes into his checked luggage before
continuing to his destination, Hong Kong.
