Yesterday was 30-day-countdown away from WHCCE (2006 Historical and Cultural
City Expo, Nanjing, China).
As an important part of "2006 WHCCE", "2006 Cultural Industry Trade Fair,
Nanjing, China" will be held from Sep.23rd to 27th. By then, over 100 projects
of cultural industry will display the development in Nanjing together.
As informed, the total investment of these 100 projects will exceed 20
billion yuan. These projects will be divided into 10 parts respectively about
historical and cultural cities, painting and calligraphy art, performances and
forums, initial design, cartoon and game industry, cultural heritages as well as
books and audio-video products.
As introduced by Cao Jinsong, vice director of Nanjing Municipal Propaganda
Department, at present, two-thirds of totally 2,000 exhibition areas have been
ordered. Among these exhibition areas, 500 ones for paintings and calligraphies
have been ordered completely. Some famous foreign and Chinese game companies
will attend the Cartoon and Game Industry Exhibition.
As learnt, such 51 cities as Rome, Birmingham, Nagoya, Changsha and Suzhou
will take part in the Famous City Exhibition.
In addition, over 1,000 painting, calligraphy and handcraft artworks will be
auctioned after the exhibition.
