DreamWorks Animation said it was keep all the big stars for the voice roles
of the third series of its "Shrek" smash hit to be released next May.
"Shrek 3" will include the voices of Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy, Cameron Diaz,
Antonio Banderas, Rupert Everett, Julie Andrews and John Cleese -- who all
starred in "Shrek" and "Shrek 2."
The animated film will be directed by Cris Miller and Raman Hui, and feature
a plot in which the familiar favorites Shrek the ogre, Donkey and Puss try to
save their world from imminent disaster.
The third movie in the series will include the voices of singer Justin
Timberlake, Eric Idle of the "Monty Python" movies and series, and several
others.
First released in 2001, "Shrek" made some US$480 million at the box-office
world-wide, with US$267 million made in North America alone.
"Shrek 2," released in 2004, set records for North American returns with
US$441 million, and grossed some US$920 million world-wide.
