China’s largest art museum, the Heilan Art Museum, opened in Xinqiao Township, Jiangyin city of Jiangsu province on July 1. Its most treasured collection, the traditional Chinese painting Ten Thousand Li of the Yangtze River that measures 200 meters long and 1.5 meters high, was unveiled at the museum after its debut at the National Museum of China in Beijing earlier this year.

The painting was the latest creation following an enormous scroll project - Ten Thousand Li of the Yellow River in 2013.

At the organization of the Heilan Group and Chinese Painting Institute, over 50 leading landscape painters visited more than 10 provinces along the Yangtze River and finished the giant painting after several revisions in one year.

The painting depicted the natural landscape, cultural attractions and new progresses along the banks of the Yangtze, China’s longest river.
